So admittedly, I wasn't SUPER big on Care Bears as a kid. I had a few episodes on a VHS tape, and watched it sometimes. Had a Care Bear plush here and there.. So my love for the series didn't really ramp up until around the time Unlock the Magic started being the current generation for the franchise. I adore UTM, it's very cute and I think gives nice personalities to the Bears, and keeps some shreds of the old iterations of them there too.
Like, Grumpy is still the de-facto mechanic character but he's also been shown with a softer side for the Whiffle tagging along in the Cloudseeker, Dibble.
Dibble is a sweet little Whiffle, but you can tell she is a troublemaker (/positive). Or at the very least, knows Grumpy can't even be mad at her when she is making a mess/trouble. Consciously or not.
I don't think UTM is a perfect iteration.. It can be clunky at times, but hey, it's good fun. And I'm well out of the show's target demographic so my opinion is invalid LMAO. After all I'm just a guy on the internet! Don't take my opinions on my favorite media to heart. Form your own thoughts on the stuff, enjoy it, experience it.
